A typical School Day at Woodlands Academy
The table below shows the outline of a typical day at Woodlands Academy.
School starts at 08:45 and finishes as 14:45.
KS3 have core subjects in the tutor room and move to subject-specific rooms for DT, Food Tech, Art, PE and Outdoor Education. Our KS3 curriculum includes a wide range of subjects. For more information, please visit out subjects page.
KS4 move classrooms for each different subject – these are in our KS4 specific corridor. KS4 also have specific catchup and examination preparation time each week in a lesson called ACE’s (Assessment, Completion and Examinations).
For Lesson 6 on a Friday afternoon, children access activities based on their effort points scored for each lesson during the week. Activities include drawing club, book club, computing, football, chess, etc.
Interventions will take place throughout the week and are delivered by our interventions team.
