STAFF & PUPILS RAISE MONEY FOR SAVE THE CHILDREN
On Friday 10th December, staff and pupils at Woodlands Academy wore their Christmas Jumpers to support Save the Children. We raised £26.
The Save the Children Fund was established in the United Kingdom in 1919 to improve the lives of children through better education, health care, and economic opportunities, as well as providing emergency aid in natural disasters, war, and other conflicts.
There were many styles and colours of jumper proudly displayed amongst staff and pupils and during lessons, pupils discussed and looked at the projects and stories carried out by Save The Children around the world.
In 2020, Save the Children raised money to support 45 million children across the globe to get medicine, good food and an education.
