World Book Day 2023
Woodlands Academy celebrated World Book Day 2023 in style this year!
We held four events across the school day:
- Mystery Readers – consisting of non-teaching staff reading to classes as a whole
- Book Treasure Hunt – where pupils solved riddles to find a specific book within the school
- Hot chocolate and relax with a book – this took place in the main dining hall 😊
- Masked Readers – Staff took part being filmed reading a book with their faces distorted by funny visuals (Mr Smith was a fried egg!) and pupils had to guess the answers and fill in their quiz sheets
The children engaged so much in the activities, both pupils and staff had such a fun day.
